Module 18 / Lesson 93 · Read, apply, check
Assemble a self-assessed portfolio showing a diagnosis, implemented improvement, verification and next business decision.
Use a real authorized business or the supplied fictional case. State the audience, objective, baseline and constraints. The portfolio should show a coherent sequence of work rather than a collection of unrelated screenshots chosen because they look impressive.
Document one technical or journey improvement, one evidence-based content improvement and one discovery or outreach plan. Show before/after behavior and acceptance checks where implementation is possible. Clearly label drafts, simulations and unimplemented proposals so reviewers know what actually happened.
Score problem definition, evidence quality, implementation correctness, verification, measurement honesty and decision clarity. Use a simple zero-to-two scale for each: missing, partial or demonstrated. A high self-score is a reflection tool, not independent accreditation or proof of commercial success.
Explain the strongest result, remaining uncertainty and recommended next investment. Name an owner and review date. A director’s review should make it possible to continue, change or stop work based on evidence, while preserving what the project could not establish.
Is the problem specific, with a baseline and inspectable support?
What changed, and which acceptance checks passed?
Are simulations, unknowns and attribution limits explicit?
What happens next, who owns it and when is it reviewed?
Hypothetical model portfolio: a local repair business has unclear booking availability, a broken preparation-guide link and duplicate enquiry events. The learner records the baseline, repairs the link in a test environment, drafts verified booking guidance and specifies a corrected success-only event. The portfolio labels the draft and simulation honestly. It includes destination checks, a reader task test and expected positive/negative event traces. A small PR evidence pack proposes a useful appointment-preparation story without promising coverage. The final recommendation is to approve the event implementation and monitor qualified bookings after the customer path is verified. The portfolio demonstrates structured work and judgment, not a measured revenue increase that the sample never observed.
A weaker portfolio contains a certificate screenshot, a list of tools and a claim that rankings must improve, but no baseline, changed behavior or verification. Completing quizzes shows learning activity, yet it does not replace evidence of application. The learner should identify the missing deliverables and revisit the relevant labs. An honest partial portfolio with clear next steps is more useful than an unsupported declaration of professional mastery.
Misconception: passing a knowledge test proves that a campaign was implemented successfully. Knowledge and application are different evidence types. Record both, and describe self-assessed work accurately rather than implying an independent expert reviewed it.
Learners without live access can complete the sample case and label it as a simulation. Real projects may require engineering, subject or commercial review before deployment. The app’s local practice record supports reflection; it does not independently verify work outside the phone.

Repair business: unclear availability, broken guide link and duplicate enquiry events. The immediate objective is a reliable booking journey, with a later review of qualified bookings.
Before: “I completed the course, therefore the campaign succeeded.”
After: A labeled portfolio of work, verification evidence, honest limitations and an owned next decision.

Before you move on
A learner completed all knowledge checks but has only drafted changes for a fictional repair business. Their portfolio includes a broken-link diagnosis, content proposal and expected event tests, with no live deployment. How should the final director review describe this work and choose the next step?
