Module 06 / Lesson 22 · Read, apply, check
Package a repeatable PR capability that a partner can explain accurately and your team can deliver profitably.
A white-label offer should solve a recognizable problem with a defined output. Examples include an expert-interview evidence pack, a launch narrative sprint or a scoped outreach preparation service. Avoid selling an undefined promise of PR support. Specify inputs, stages, review rounds and completion criteria. The partner needs enough clarity to sell the work without improvising claims, while your team needs enough consistency to estimate effort and protect delivery quality across multiple clients.
Provide a plain-language description, ideal-client criteria, sample output, discovery questions and common objections. Explain what can be promised and what depends on the end client or independent media. Include a clear distinction between earned outreach and paid placements if both can appear in the program. Give the partner a way to ask scope questions before quoting. A good kit reduces accidental overselling and prevents the delivery team from discovering a different promise only after the order arrives.
Estimate research, interviews, editing, coordination, revisions and reporting. Include partner-management time and the cost of incomplete briefs. Establish a wholesale fee and let the commercial arrangement define how the partner prices and presents the service. Test whether both businesses can earn a viable margin without weakening the output. A low wholesale price that depends on perfect inputs and zero revisions is fragile; realistic assumptions make the relationship more durable.
Use one suitable client to test briefing, approvals, turnaround and reporting. Capture where instructions were unclear or extra work appeared. Decide which communications pass through the partner and where specialist access is necessary. Create a quality checklist and a change-request path. Expand only when the partner can sell the offer accurately and the team can deliver it predictably. White-label growth should create repeatable capability, not an invisible queue of bespoke emergencies under somebody else’s brand.
Qualified brief, expert access and source material.
Defined research, interview and editing stages.
Specific deliverables with review and completion criteria.
Wholesale fee, coordination allowance and change process.
An illustrative PR agency packages a customer-evidence sprint for branding partners. The scope includes two interviews, one evidence summary and two story outlines, with a defined factual review round. The partner receives sample outputs, qualification questions and a briefing form explaining the required customer access. The agency models all delivery and coordination time before setting a wholesale fee. In the pilot, one client cannot arrange a second interview, so the teams use the agreed change process rather than silently substituting invented material. They revise the briefing checklist to confirm access before scheduling. The partner can now explain the offer confidently, and the delivery agency can estimate work without relying on a vague expectation that every request will fit the original price.
Another supplier sells “unlimited PR content” at a low monthly wholesale fee. Partners interpret the phrase differently and promise varying quantities, deadlines and media outcomes. End clients send incomplete briefs and expect unrestricted revisions. The supplier uses generic AI drafts to keep up, which creates more review work and weakens trust. The problem began in the offer design: there was no bounded output, realistic cost model or mechanism for handling requests outside the original assumption.
White-label does not mean the delivery agency can ignore the end client’s needs. It changes the commercial presentation and communication structure, but the work still needs evidence, quality control and a useful outcome. Design the offer around the client problem rather than only the partner’s desire for margin.
Agree branding, confidentiality, access and disclosure expectations explicitly. Do not imply that a partner has in-house expertise or a publication relationship that the arrangement does not support. Where specialist interaction with the end client is necessary, define how that will happen before selling the service.

A partner wants to resell your PR service but asks for an “unlimited content and coverage” package at a fixed low fee. Your delivery team depends on interviews and factual review. What is the strongest foundation for a workable white-label offer?
