Module 03 / Lesson 11 · Read, apply, check
Package a credible agency service around defined work, responsibilities and review decisions rather than guaranteed AI answers.
Start with the client’s actual gap: confusing identity, weak evidence for buyer comparisons, inconsistent expert material or an inability to assess how the brand appears. Describe the service as a sequence of investigation, improvement and review. A discovery phase can establish the baseline and priorities before a larger campaign is committed. State what the client receives, what decisions the agency will make and what requires client approval. Avoid a package built around an impressive but undefined AI visibility label. The prospect should be able to recognize the problem, inspect the proposed work and understand how completion will be judged.
Translate the process into a scope: a defined observation panel, an identity audit, an evidence brief, selected page improvements, an outreach plan and a scheduled review. Set quantities or effort limits where they matter, along with revision rounds, access needs and approval owners. Identify dependencies such as customer permission, technical implementation and spokesperson availability. Distinguish an agency commitment to prepare and pitch a credible story from an editor’s independent decision to cover it. If a required input is missing, explain whether work pauses, changes or moves to another approved task. This makes the service manageable without pretending uncertainty can be removed by a package name.
Estimate research, senior editorial judgment, technical coordination, campaign management and reporting effort before choosing a fee. Separate agency service fees from approved media or supplier costs and explain the purchasing route. The Guest Post Marketplace gives customers control to hand-pick from thousands of publications by audience fit, relevance and budget. NewsPass supports SEO, PR and GEO outcomes through search visibility, media presence, credibility and discoverability in AI answers. Accelerated Monthly PR & SEO is an ongoing programme managed by Sitetrail, whose team handles strategy, coordination, execution and reporting. These are distinct responsibilities; choose support that matches the scope rather than implying every product includes identical management.
Use an initial review to assess readiness and a later review to decide whether to continue, narrow or change the campaign. Evaluate completed work, information quality, observed answers and commercial signals under their own definitions. A client should not need to buy indefinitely because an unspecified algorithm might respond someday. State the expected review cadence and the evidence that would justify further investment. Be clear that an external answer, ranking or citation is not a controlled deliverable. Commercial confidence comes from a disciplined service with useful outputs and honest decisions, rather than a guarantee that the agency cannot reliably fulfill.
Name the information or measurement problem.
Define work, inputs, approvals and completion.
Separate agency effort and approved supplier costs.
Agree evidence and the next investment decision.
Fieldmark’s agency proposes a bounded first phase: twelve buyer questions, a documented baseline, an identity review and two evidence briefs. The client supplies product facts and customer permissions; its web team owns implementation. A second phase, agreed after readiness review, can include a reference-page update, specialist outreach and a selected commercial contribution. The proposal separately shows agency fees and any approved publication spend. Fieldmark can choose a Marketplace publication within the agreed audience and budget criteria, while the agency remains responsible for its contracted editorial and coordination tasks. The proposal does not promise a fixed number of AI citations. At the review, both parties will inspect the delivered assets, comparable observations and enquiry quality, then decide whether to extend. The prospect can understand exactly what it is buying and where its own decisions remain necessary.
Another agency sells fifty guaranteed AI recommendations for a flat fee without defining products, prompts or dates. Its agreement contains no research deliverables and no client input requirements. When results vary, it changes the test questions and asks for more publication spend. The package has no stable completion standard and gives the client no useful way to assess the work. Its apparent certainty masks an external outcome that the agency cannot control or consistently verify.
A strong offer can sell ambition without guaranteeing a system’s behavior. Promise the quality, scope and accountability of the work you control, explain the intended customer outcomes and agree how progress will be assessed. This gives the client a clearer buying decision than either vague consulting language or an unsupported promise of permanent AI preference.
Confirm current product terms and supplier availability before quoting. The examples illustrate scope design, not a universal price or contract. Keep commercial routes explicit, obtain required client approvals and avoid representing paid placement, crawler access or content volume as a purchase of independent recommendations, guaranteed rankings or AI citations.

Before you move on
A prospect asks for guaranteed AI recommendations and assumes a Marketplace purchase includes all campaign strategy and reporting. Your agency can deliver research, editorial work and coordination, but external answer selection remains uncertain. Which offer most clearly defines a credible purchase?
