Cloudflare Sees 2-Year Explosion With Half A Trillion Pageviews
Not many people talk about Cloudfare but they should. The company which provides websites with online threat security and increased load times and connectivity has seen explosive growth since it launched as part of the TechCrunch Disrupt SF 2010 program two years ago.
The company’s CEO and co-founder, Matthew Prince was speaking at Disrupt 2012 and gave some insights into just what has been achieved since launch. Prince pointed out that to date, the site has seen over half a trillion pageviews; 600 million uniques a month which are generated from a whopping 70 billion monthly pageviews.
All this has been achieved with a somewhat humble capital injection of just over $22 million. But it’s not just money that has helped Cloudflare; online security is a big worry for online businesses and even the US government commissioned the help of Cloudflare to help with bolstering security across its vast network of sites.
This rather extensive resume built up so early has helped push the popularity of Cloudflare to dizzying heights. Customers are no doubt happy and the numbers prove it. Add to this the fact that Cloudflare has grown literally through organic word of mouth marketing and the success story becomes even more extraordinary.
70 billion monthly pageviews a month in just 2 years is growth that suggests that something is very right and one can only imagine what the next two years holds for Cloudfare.
