AtTask Raises $13 Million In Funding

The way businesses are run today call for such a divergent mix of tools and sometimes ad hoc management systems. Answering that call is AtTask, a company which delivers software as a service (SaaS) with a mix of social dynamics and time-honored project management systems.

Based in Utah, the company has been looking to grow its portfolio of clients for quite some time and managed to raise $7 million in Series A funding from OpenView Partners. Now it’s back at the investors ‘asking’ table and this time the company has managed to muster $13 million in Series B funding.

The amount of the funding was disclosed via an SEC filing but little else was divulged. It is not clear at this point if the $13 million comes from new investors are existing one. The only thing that is clear is the new impetus that the company has with fresh capital under its wings.

As an alumni of the Inc. 500 fastest growing companies for 3 consecutive years running, there’s a lot in terms of investor and market expectation. The new funding will no doubt go a long way in delivering on those expectations. And perhaps offer up a few surprises on the way.

With big name customers like Nike and Kellogg’s we won’t be at all surprised if the company is in profit very soon.
