Facebook.com is a very popular and widely used social media site right now and probably without a doubt the most successful of its kind on the internet today. It is used to keep up with friends, family, coworkers, as well as networking with businesses and really serves its users with a wide range of services. This includes e-mail, chat, various pages of both a personal and business nature. People associate Facebook with more personal and social benefits however it has its business pro’s as well.

For instance, it was recently found out through Mike Mann’s Facebook page that his domain name selling business, DomainMarket.com just had a recent, big sale. The domain name Skyboard.com was sold through Mike Mann’s business, Domain Market for $60,000. This is a big 5 figure sale and congrats are in order for both the buyer and the seller. Mike Mann got the domain name back in April of 2007 for less than $3,000. Being that this domain name recently sold at $60,000 there was a huge profit from this sale for Mike Mann and his business. The buyer of the domain name is from France. The plural of the domain name, Skyboards.com is still up for sale according to Mike Mann.

This instance of a great business profit and sale just goes to show how successful the domain name field can be. Domain Market is a profitable and successful business and this is a fine example of that. It also goes to show how useful Facebook can be for various businesses, not just the domain name selling ones. Just as it is a great business benefit to purchase and utilize a domain name for online business, it is also profitable to utilize the free features that Facebook has to offer. It allows for easy advertising with the potential for new customers and revenue.
