Evernote Has 34 Million Users Of Which 1.4 Million Are Paying

Sites include . Published on July 5th, 2012. Written by Anthony West.

Evernote is worth $1 billion by its last valuation and now Phil Libin (CEO) is even talking about going public. Those talks of course, could be just that—talk, but the numbers underpinning Evernote are solid and so it wouldn’t surprise me if the company did take a stab at an IPO.

The note taking app now has 34 million users with 1.4 million of them ‘paying’ users. In terms of actual revenues per users, Evernote has some pretty decent stats too. On mobile it makes a different amount per user according to platform and the iPhone is its biggest earner, coming in at $1.79 per user. Windows Phone 7 was surprisingly its second biggest earner per user at $1.44. This was followed by Android with $1.06 per user. Income per user for tablets in the mobile category were also higher with the iPad leading the way at $2.18 per user. It was followed by Blackberry at $2.01 per user.

On the Desktop side of things the Mac OS dominated with $3.16 per user. It was followed by Windows with $2.33 per user and then the Desktop Web with $1.81 per user.

All in all Evernote seems to growing in line with expectations and funding. Don’t be surprised if we are covering its SEC S-1 filing soon.
