YouTube is a very popular media web site on the world wide web today. People are able to access the web site for free and search music videos, funny videos, educational, informational material, and people’s personal blogs. They are also able to create their own account where they can upload their own content which could be a variety of different things. Some of the material a lot of people post are tutorials, comment videos on the latest celebs, music, etc. or they can upload content solely for entertainment purposes to get a fan and follower base. One of the popular people on YouTube that many follow and keep up with her videos is Jenna Marbles. She uploads a new video every Wednesday and she is a hot topic on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sites. Her videos are funny and relate to what is going on in the entertainment world to the basis daily things boys and girls do.

According to a recent report, YouTube users are now uploading 72 hours of video every minute. This shows just how popular and widely used YouTube has become. Last May when YouTube celebrated its 6th birthday (a young site for such popular usage), they announced that 48 hours of video were being uploaded per minute. In less than a year’s time, this January they announced that this # of video uploaded per minute has increased to 72 hours of video per minute. This is a huge increase in such a short amount of time. By their 7th birthday in May, the site will probably have doubled the # of video hours uploaded per minute.

Here is some more information about this growth;

“The YouTube Team writes, “Like many 7 year olds around the world, we’re growing up so fast!  In other words, every single minute you now upload three who days worth of video instead of two.”
