Recently on GoDaddy.com the domain name AFW.com sold for $125,000. This was one of the company’s top sales for the month, and one of the few 6 figure domain names that were sold. Come to find out the AFW will stand for American Furniture Warehouse: “American Furniture Warehouse is known to have the largest selection of furniture under one roof in the United States. American Furniture Warehouse makes a priority of working efficiently and keeping costs low, so that those savings can be passed on to the more than one million customers the company serves each year.”

This company is growing and due to this, the 6 figure domain name price may not have been such  an expense but rather a steal. The company was purchased back in 1975 by a man named Jabs and it has now grown into a 12 store business full of promise and success. Jabs is personally involved and immersed in the business and is a very hands on person with his company and does a lot behind the scenes. No doubt they were excited about this domain name acquisition as it will continue to further their growth and get their name out there even more in the world wide web.

This is just one story about how the domain names that are sold, this one specifically on GoDaddy, go on to further businesses’ success and growth, no matter what business, big or small, that it might be.
