Let’s face it, Bill Gates doesn’t have the quintessential superhero appeal; he doesn’t have the bulging biceps, abs to die for, or the charm and sophistication that makes a superhero a ‘hit’ with the ladies. But he has undoubtedly, an intelligence that most superheroes would be terribly envious of, so it sort of makes you wonder, how does Bill Gates stack up against a superhero like Batman.

Well, the fine folks over at Frugaldad have come up with an infographic that looks at Bill Gates from a charitable perspective, and is using this approach to measure just how effective Bill Gates is at what he does—as opposed to Batman, of course. According to the infographic, Bill Gates, through his philanthropic organization has helped to save over 5 million lives in some of the world’s poorest countries. The millions (billions even) that he gives away has gone towards the eradication of deadly diseases like Polio, Malaria—just to name a few. In all, the effort of the Gates’ has helped saved over 7.6 million lives; the majority of these being children.

To date Bill Gates through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has given away more than $28 billion to charity. That amount represents approximately 48% of the couple’s net worth.

Now that is what you call ‘giving’.
