Star power seems to be working very well for mobile video app maker, Viddy. So far big-name celebs like Snoop Dogg and T-Pain have helped push the app platform to new heights and the latest figures suggest that Viddy is growing faster than expected. According to a statement released by the company, Viddy had over 40 million views last month and the projection for the coming months is even higher.

Driving the growth is of course celebrity involvement, but the company is also heavily promoting what it is calling “Production Packs”, a set of tools that lets its users create videos and style them according their tastes, including allowing users to embed cameos from their favorite artists.

Presently T-Pains latest single “5 O’Clock” is doing the rounds on the platform and according to Viddy’s co-founder, Brett O’Brien, the partnership with T-Pain is a solid one. He went on to say further that, “T-Pain is known for his innovative Audio Effects and is a perfect partner to launch Viddy’s Special FX marketplace for Artist and Celebrity inspired mobile video production. Viddy is creating a new content market for musicians, celebrities, and brands. Viddy enables artists to showcase their creativity and engage with fans in new and entertaining ways through mobile video.”

With such potential for exposing artists and letting them interact with fans, Viddy may just have a bright future.
