Ashton Kutcher’s Twitter Account Gets Hacked
Another high profile Twitter account has fell victim to the force that is hacking. This time its Ashton Kutcher, the beloved husband of everyone’s favorite Cougar, Demi Moore.
Turns out one rather unwise hacker took control of the actors account round about the same time he or she took control of the account of the Huffington Post. This near-proximity hijacking led to the almost immediate recovery of the accounts, and bot had only minor and short-lived obscenities posted in their feed. The Huffington Post was quick to let its followers know that its account had been hijacked and did so via a tweet, saying: “Sorry about that, Twitterverse! We know we’ve been hacked and are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.”
Kutcher was not so graceful in his retort and basically called the hacker an “idiot”. The idiot quip was made because the hacker reportedly logged into their Foursquare account shortly after the attacks—leaving of course, an obvious trail.
These types of attacks on Twitter have now become so common that we almost expect them to happen weekly. Twitter on the other hand would love to arrest the problem but despite its best efforts can’t seem to keep these hackers at bay. Once again its platform security is being called into question, so it will be interesting to see how the developers respond.
