Netflix Launches In UK At 5.99 Per Month

Netflix is a relatively new and unique way for people to rent or order movies from their computers or to their home. There are no late fees and movies are shipped right to your door. Once you are done with the movie you send it back and request another one of your favorites or one of the new releases that is out. Netflix has become really popular throughout the United States and is even probably most of the reason that the many of the movie stores have shut down. Netflix and Redbox have probably been the major cause of this since renting movies has never been more affordable and convenient.

Netflix is not just popular in the U.S. however, it is now going global in the UK and Ireland. Here is some more information about Netflix’s expansion:

“Internet video on demand service Netflix has launched in the UK and Ireland, offering consumers in the chance to begin streaming movies and TV shows to their computers, mobile devices and video game consoles for £5.99 a month in the UK (€6.99 in Ireland), or via a one-month free trial.

Users can access Netflix.co.uk to sign-up for their one month free trial, with the company choosing to spread news of its launch and free usage via Facebook. The company has yet to issue a formal press release or update either its NetflixUK Facebook or Twitter accounts to state that the service has launched.”

If you or your family do not have Netflix already it is definitely worth looking into or at least trying for a month. It is convenient right from your home and affordable at a monthly rate of about $9.00. For movie lovers of all ages this is a great way to watch the movies you enjoy the most as well as favorite TV shows.
