UnitedStatesOfAmerica.com Up For Sale On Ebay

Sites include . Published on September 20th, 2011. Written by Daniel Renfro.

There are all kinds of unique and interesting domain names for websites out there today. Some are made up, others are already taken due to popularity or the fact that it could be used for different websites. Many people probably have not given much thought to how URL’s come about, especially since it is so easy to make and design a web page these days. But it is interesting to think about how people obtain certain domain names, since there are no doubt many businesses, companies, and individuals that could potentially be interested and desire to use the same domain name or at least a  similar one.

Ebay.com is a web site where people can purchase and sell virtually any item they choose. From clothing, shoes, accessories, to tickets, collectible items, and sports equipment, the list goes on and on and on. People can search through a variety of categories to narrow their search of what they are looking for. Accounts can be made for sellers to upload pictures and information about the items they are selling and online payment options are set up and available for buyers. As many people know, one has to place a bid on the item, and whoever has the highest bid at the end of the bidding time period, gets to purchase the item.

Back to domain names, many people probably would not think that these are up for sale on eBay.com! For instance, UnitedStatesOfAmerica.com is up for sale on eBay.com right now, along with a list of 100 or so domain names such as, RealtyWanted.com, Doyoubelievethat.com, BurgerBiz.com, Tech411.com, and the list goes on. This group of 100 domain names as a whole are being sold on ebay.com and the seller’s listed price right now is $250,000. Whoever wins the bid would be purchasing these URL’s through Escrow.com. Who knows if all of these will sale for as high a price as listed, but apparently many domain names have been sold on ebay.com and many of the web names in the list sound like they have great potential.
