Cloud Extend Trys To Simplify Salesforce
Active Endpoints, a company dedicated to building process automation apps, is planning on launching Cloud Extend for Salesforce at the Dreamforce event next week.
According to Active Endpoints:
Cloud Extend represents a new wave of “consumerizing” enterprise applications. The goal of Cloud Extend is to enable domain experts with no IT skills to add process/workflow to SaaS applications. Cloud Extend offers the ability to guide users through a series of steps within a SaaS application to control and automate routine activities that matches the way your business operates.
It seems like the purpose of Cloud Extend is to simplify Salesforce for its users by providing them with the ability to easily create processes whether they are manual or automated. According to an analyst, the product will help Salesforce users through “complex processes.”
Cloud Extend features include a drop-dead simple visual guide designer, native Salesforce integration and the ability to share guides across the entire sales team with a single click. The app also comes with a variety of sample guides that can be used with common sales process scenarios such as lead nurturing, sales qualification and call scripting.
We’re assuming that the app will be available to all Salesforce users via the AppExchange marketplace. Will Salesforce users take advantage of Cloud Extend? Or is Salesforce already too easy to use?

Looks promising, I wonder how much it costs.
salesforce’s own solution (visual process manager) costs $50 per user
if these guys want to compete against them it have to be cheaper!
