SpotiFy Makes Changes, Users Are Angry

Users of Spotify will notice some changes in the way they are listening to music. It is expected to happen in May. There will be more limitation in terms of listening time.

Beginning May 1 users will be provided with unlimited listening for the first six months. Later they will be able to listen 10 hours of music per month. Apart from that users who signed up for the free service at the beginning of November 2010 are provided with an opportunity to play each track five times. Such an option will be available for free. As for the 10-hour monthly limit, it will be available six months after their start dates.

Because of changes users of Spotify are angry. Last.fm users reacted the same when they learned that they would not be able to use the radio service for free on their mobile as well as consumer electronic devices.

Spotify has about a million paying subscribers. One should not forget that more than a million use the free service. In fact, quite a lot of people are listening without ponying up. But back in 2009 Spotify lost $26.7 million. Also the service is making attempts to enter the U.S. market.
