Flash Player 10.2 Is Heading to Honeycomb Tablets
Google Android devices will get Adobe’s Flash Player 10.2 on March 18. It will provide support for tablets running Android 3.0 Honeycomb, like the Motorola Xoom.
Flash Player is the technology of Adobe that allows to play rich media content within a browser. It should be said that Flash Player 10.2 will be designed for Android 2.3 and 2.2 releases.
With Flash Player 10.2 devices will get deeper integration with the rendering engine of Android browser and hardware-accelerated video presentation used for the H.264 video codec. Both features are compatible with Android 3.0.1 or higher versions. Apart from that, website scrolling also received improvements. With automatic soft keyboard interaction for touchscreen devices has become even better. Due to the feature it is much easier to develop multi-screen applications that are in need of keyboard input. As a result, it simplifies optimization of desktop applications for handsets. With a new ActionScript API developers can automatically display and launch the soft keyboard.
Flash Player 10.2 will come pre-installed on a range of upcoming smartphone and tablets. It will be also delivered as an OTA update. It will be possible to download version 10.2 at the website of Adobe.
