Opera To Introduce Cross-Platform Hardware Acceleration
The trend today for browser development is to incorporate hardware acceleration. This feature makes your browser tap the power of your graphics card to help in rendering a particular website. The end result would then be a faster time for the page to load.

Opera has made available to the public an alpha version of Opera 11.50 which supports hardware acceleration. Although it isn’t a finished product yet it can now render 3D based JavaScripts as well as complex websites that are not Flash based. This alpha version is available for Windows users and is not recommended for everyday browsing use.
What makes this version of Opera different from other browsers is that it can soon be used on any device that has a hardware acceleration feature. This means that you can use it on a computer running Windows, Mac, Linux and even smartphones. This makes it better than its competitors that have limited hardware support.
The latest Internet Explorer with hardware acceleration only supports computers running on Windows 7 and Vista while Firefox which is also available for Windows 7 and Vista but with limited support for Windows XP and Linux.
Opera is one of the fastest browsers available in the market today which you can download for free. It can be used in computers and smartphones.
