Verizon Unveils First Ad for Motorola’s Xoom
Verizon Wireless has rolled out its first ad for the Xoom, the Motorola’s tablet. It is a futuristic spot that reveals the ability of tablet device to play Vendetta. It should be mentioned that a shortened version of the ad was unveiled earlier this week. The full 30-second version can be seen on YouTube, which was loaded by the network carrier.
The ad reveals a guy in a leather jacket who grabs the Motorola Xoom and whisk away into a spaceship where he decides to pick out the Vendetta app. A voiceover reveals chief attributes of Xoom, i.e. a 3D graphics engine, 1 GHz dual-processor, widescreen HD display as well as gyroscope.
In fact, the ad follows the Motorola’s own ad for its latest tablet device. It is known to be a 60-second Super Bowl spot that sought to Apple’s iconic ‘1984’ ad which is offered for the Macintosh. It should be mentioned that the ad coincides with the release of Xoom at Verizon and Best Buy. The tablet device has a price tag of $799.
No doubts that Verizon Wireless is neutral in the fight of Motorola and Apple. Earlier this month the carrier started to offer Apple’s iPhone. Moreover, the company released several ads celebrating the opportunity to offer the device.
