Mobile Credit Card Payment Option “Square” Now Available

Sites include , . Published on October 23rd, 2010. Written by SiteTrail.

Mobile credit card payments have just started to arise in the past couple years, with a lot of influence due to the iPhone. The mobile credit card payment option Square, just has become available to the public. Square was founded from Twitter Co-founder Jack Dorsey.

This new payment option allows users to swipe credit card payments, securely right through a small card reader that attaches to your phone. It is available on the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and some Android phones. Sellers who are approved will get a free credit card reader for their specified phone.  The only fees included with Square are the 2.75% fee, plus $0.15 per swipe. This isn’t an unreasonable amount considering how much credit card companies charge to use their network.
