Tiger Global Management LLC, a hedge fund founded by Chase Coleman, paid $20 million for about a 1% stake in LinkedIn. This values the professional social network at more than $2 billion.
Specifically, Tiger Global Management bought shares from existing shareholders at $21.50 a piece. This doesn’t represent a new investment. According to SharesPost Inc., LinkedIn has 105 million outstanding shares.
